URGENT need of college decision advice, what path would you choose?

You are a transfer student and you have two options
A) University #1
A great school, 2nd best in its state. A 15k per year scholarship BUT it only last two years. This school is competitive to get into, 33% acceptance rate, and 22% acceptance rate for transfer. Rigorous academics, amazing city, great party life, beautiful weather all year round. Seems like the perfect fit BUT this scholarship lasts only for 2 years when you still anticipate atleast 3 years of academics ahead.

B) University #2
A pretty good school, known for its amazing location in an iconic (but expensive city) and very diverse. A 15k per year scholarship that lasts beyond two years. 66% acceptance rate and unknown transfer acceptance rate. People say it’s very small and close but also not much school spirit. Amazing location, lots of life around with great weather. Has a 5 year program to get a teaching certification and double major.
I am SO conflicted, I don’t know where to turn to and who to ask for help. If this was you, where would you choose? University #1 and just figure out my final year how to suffice that 15k?

Thank you

LOL it was meant to be Uni B ) hehe.

Honestly, without giving the schools and major, few people will know what you’re talking about.

You really just can’t wish many thousands of dollars into existence. I know, I’ve tried. (Lord, how I’ve tried…) You haven’t said exactly how big that gap is, but as a senior you’re only going to be able to borrow about $8k on your own. Until you have a solid handle on the specific dollars you shouldn’t jump into #1. The fact is that when it comes to college costs things are rarely cheaper or faster than planned. Expect an extra year, expect rent to go up, expect something other than a Wonkabar golden ticket. Unless that financial gap is under a few thousand bucks I’d take door number two and not bat an eye.

The scholarship amount is somewhat irrelevant. The question is what will each school cost after the scholarship.

Your major?

Are you a sophomore level transfer (i.e. you will enter as a sophomore having completed your frosh year), since you anticipate needing three more years?

Cost of each college with and without scholarship?
