Urgent Online Common Application Help Needed!

I am applying to one common app school early action (Boston College), which I sent a seperate resume by mail. For the online common application, where should I let them know that I have already sent them a resume? Should I still fill out the extracurriculars/awards section? All help would be greatly appreicated. Thanks in advance!

P.S. There's definetly no way to attach a resume saved on my computer in Word to my common application, right?

Additional info section seems like the place to me....

What about the extracurriculars/awards section? Do I still have to fill this out?

Yup, it actually specifically says that you should fill out the EC section "even if you plan to attach a resume," (or something like that) so they can focus on your most important ECs.

Should I just copy and paste my resume from Word into the Additional Information Section even though I already mailed one in, or would this be overkill? I'm just sort of afraid the adcoms might never see my resume.

I think that is overkill, but it wouldn't hurt to put something like "see resume (mailed separately)" in the Add'l Info section.

Thanks everyone for all your help...I just have one last problem....When I copied and pasted my essay into the common app online into word, a movie title did not show up italicized...Does anyone know if I can underline/italicize this word? If not, how should I show that it is in fact a movie title.

You cannot italicize, bold or underline the in Common App. Just put the title in quotes.

AJ1018: Glad to see you are applying to my alma mater - BC. My D had no interest (sigh) in applying there.......... Oh well! When she did her Common App, she listed several EC's in the space allowed, but then put in as the last one something like "Seperate Activity/Accomplishment Sheet will be mailed" (I can't remember the exact wording). Once the application was submitted electronically, we snailmailed the other directly to the Admissions office.
Hope this helps, and keep us posted as to your BC status!

When you mail that resume or sheet, you need to put your social security number on it.
