Urgent! Please chance me for transferring..Really appreciate!

Hi all,
I am an international student currently enrolled at Ohio University (No.1 Party School) major in mathematics. I did not prepare very well when I decided to come to the U.S. So I just went to O.U. because it is very easy to get in. I plan to get a Ph.D in the future after I came here, and I am not very satisfied with my current school since I am not in the honor program and the ranking as well as the reputation of O.U. are not that good. I want to transfer and I have done my applications and stuff like that. OK, here is the thing, up to now, I have applied to 17 public universities, which are:
UC-Berkeley,UCLA,UCDavis,UCIrvine,UCSD,UMich,UWMadison, UTexas at Austin, UIUC, Purdue, UPittsburgh, Penn State, Ohio State, UW-Seattle, UNC Chapel Hill, UMinnesota, GATech.

Transferring as a junior.
I now maintain a 3.626 GPA with all hard classes and 41 quarter credits earned, 25 in progress, 25 pending next quarter. I will have like 3.8+ after this quarter.

My classes are prior to transfer including classes currently taking(IP) and plan to take(PL):
Calculus I(A), II(A), III(B), IV(IP)
Calculus Based General Physics with lab I(A), II(IP), III(PL)
Writing courses Freshman Comp I(A-), II(B+), Junior Comp(PL)
Chemistry for Science majors with lab I(A)
Differential Equation(PL) Linear Algebra(IP Expect A)
C++ Programming (B-)
Intro to Electrical Engineering (A)
Principle of Microecon (IP Expect A)
Principle of Marcoecon (IP Expect A)
Intermediate Macroecon (PL)
Discrete Mathematics (IP Expect A)
Junior Level Probability (PL)
Learning community seminar (A)
Political Science Elective(PL)
(Without programming background, recieved a bad grade in that C++ class)

My high school status is not the same as American students, just need to know average scores are pretty high.

As you know, international students are required to submit toefl, I got 85/120(those schools I have applied all require 80 or 79), but I plan to retake it the day after tomorrow, expect to hava around 95.

I do not have any tests like SAT or AP or IB. I will take SAT next Saturday and expect to have around 2000.

ECs are ordinary, not very excellent, not very bad. But they are poor in college since I have to take a lot of classes and finish homework.

Essays are decent and no LORs since many class sizes are huge.

What are my chances for those schools? Will the reputation of O.U. hurt my chances?I just want to go to a good research university so that I can prepare for my Ph.D. I am afraid of getting all rejected from the total 17 schools. Need some help.

Thank you for your patience to read my long thread. Please give me some clues about my chances.

P.S. My dream schools are UMich, UWMadison, Berkeley, and UCLA. Will that be possible that they admit me?

If I want applied for private schools like top 25, will I have any chances? If I do, I will do my best to get some recs from my professors.

Thank you for your responses, really appreciate!

Bump…Bump…Bump

Help! Please give me some advices, thanks a lot. Urgent! Bump…

Bump…Bump…anyone helps me please?Really need some advices

You need to narrow down your choices. You just listed like 20 schools! It looks like your going to be an out of state transfer though given what you’ve said. I’d start looking at their requirements and maybe search on here to see how other out of state transfers did when they applied.

I have done all the applications and sent all my matierials for all these 17 schools, I just want to know that if I can be admitted to any one of them. Anyway, thank you for your respones. Could you just chance me about getting in one of them? Thanks a lot.

Bump…Bump…any ideas about it ?

Bumping…Bumping…Help please!

Hello!

Don’t worry too much!!! You’ll get into to at least some–likely many–of the schools and will be very happy wherever you end up! It will be okay.

Take this time and focus on yourself. Do your schoolwork but then whenever you get the urge to freak out about the college stuff, take a deep breath and treat yourself in some way. Go for a walk. Pursue a hobby. Read a book just for fun.

Again, you’ll get in and be happy. Life will go on.

I wish you all the best!

Thank you for your post. You are really kind, patient and helpful. I appreciate your post, and I will do as what you said. Good luck to me. I am much better now and know what I should do. Thanks.
