URGENT PLEASE HELP: Should I take AP Bio even though I'm not majoring in science?

I am enrolled in AP Bio right now. It's only been one class, but the workload and content is just something I am not interested in. I am planning on majoring in graphic design, (computer science maybe, but its a slim chance).

I only signed up for AP Bio because I feel the need to "cushion" my college application more. My current weighted GPA is a 4.2. But I don't have many extracurricular activities, so I was hoping to demonstrate my strength as a student in my academics.

But I am afraid that bio will be too overwhelming and cause me to do bad in that class, and other classes as well. I am hesitant about dropping it because what if that was the deciding factor whether I got into the college of my choice or not?

My perspective colleges are: Boston University, Penn State, Uni of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, UC Davis

My SAT score is 1810, I'm retaking it soon, I know it's too low for any of the schools I have listed.

My currently schedule is:
*Note: "ECE" is basically a UCONN colelge course we can take at our high school. It is weighted the same as an AP class here.

AP Literature
AP Psychology
AP Calculus
ECE Statistics
ECE Spanish
Honors Physics (This is the highest level of physics my school offers)

PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN, I NEED TO MAKE A DECISION BY FRIDAY!!!

One class is not going to make or break you unless you have no other APs. As you have APs and other ECE courses on your list, it doesn’t seem to be a problem and your schedule is rigorous enough. The only reason I would think you would want to take AP Bio is to place out of the science requirement at your respective college, but if you really don’t enjoy it you shouldn’t have to sacrifice all that time if it is something you don’t enjoy. Especially if you have already taken another year of bio prior (if not, I’d recommend taking a lower level of bio)

One thing you could do is talk to your GC if your schedule is considered rigorous, and if changing that class into something else would affect how he or she would rate your class rigor. I basically was in the same situation taking more than 4 APs senior year, and I asked if changing one to an honors english elective would affect her rating of “most rigorous,” she said no. But still, if you are really not interested, it is better to take something you enjoy
