URGENT! Please help! Thanks!

Ok I'm really confused about the SAT and ACT score. Here's the questions:

Once I received my SAT score via web, do collegeboard AUTOMATICALLY send the scores to the 4 colleges I listed?

Same question as above. Does ACT automatically send the scores as well?

What I'm trying to ask is that, can I choose when to send the score? I took both tests and I just received my ACT score (it was ugly), I was hoping to first see my SAT score (still pending) before I decide which score to send out.

To sum up, will SAT/ACT send the score automatically? Can I choose when to send out the score?

THANKS A LOT!!!

Only if you chose to send the ACT score when you signed up will it be sent.

To answer No. 1, yes, College Board AUTOMATICALLY sends the scores to the 4 colleges you listed.

huh? what do you mean? so for ACT can I choose whether or not to send the score?
Also is it possible to change the test recipient after I received my ACT result? (The writing score is still pending) If so, how?

You’re too late to cancel your ACT score report or change your score report recipients–you have to do that by the Thursday after the test.

See [ACT FAQ : After I see my scores, can I cancel reporting to colleges or my high school?](http://www.actstudent.org/faq/answers/cxlcollege.html)

Ok thanks, no big deal. Say if my SAT score is much better than my ACT score, how can I submit only the SAT result?

You can’t. Re-read all of the answers above. The point is, once you’ve designated schools to receive your score report and the time to make changes has expired, both ACT and SAT will send those scores to your designated schools.

The schools will consider whichever score is better.

If you apply to more schools beyond those four, you can selectively order and submit the best score, whether ACT or SAT.

(This discussion assumes you have not previously taken either test. If you have, then you will need to know whether the school requires you to submit “all” scores; whether it superscores; and whether it allows “score choice.”)
