<p>Admission into Rutgers College is easier than the Engineering school. I have no idea how you go about getting into the engineering program, but I am certin admission is not a guarantee. </p>
<p>My gut tells me that you would need to transfer into the program, not simply change majors. Again, I do not know, but am guessing based on how it works at other colleges. Good luck!</p>

<p>Why don't you just call the Rutgers admissions office? I'm sure they're there today.</p>
<p>I forgot where I read it, but I remember something about being able to apply to the RC Honors Programs at the end of freshman year. I THINK a GPA of 3.5 is required, but I'm not sure. If your GPA is a 3.8, you're invited to apply.</p>
<p>The website says this: "Each year approximately 50 sophomores are invited to become members of the RCHP after the first year at Rutgers College, based on the cumulative grade point average in June."

<p>I don't think any GPA is REQUIRED, but obviously it's an important component. You're invited to apply if you have a 3.8, but if you have lower you can apply yourself. I think it's very hard to be accepted if you apply by yourself (but not totally sure on that).</p>

<p>call them ASAP... i made the mistake of not applying to the engineering school, and on the tour i went to a few days ago the admissions officer said she would re-evaluate my app as soon as possible... that night i got an email saying she admitted me to teh school of engineering! so call them!</p>
