I tried to add a psych course a few minutes ago but URSA didn't allow me to add. Who should I email??? The class is filling up so fast! I'm worried.

I searched my old email and found a psych dept enrollment coordinator emailed me once. Should I email that person???

what is the class? are you psych or prepsych? what are the restrictions?
are you on priority pass and is it half full? (which doesn't matter right now anymore)

if you think there's NO reason why you shouldn't be allowed in, email that person. can't hurt.

Schedule of Classes: Class Listing

I'm not a psych major but any major can take 129E.
I'm on first pass cuz I'm a senior.

Anyway, I'll check with psych dept today. It's so annoying that ursa always has problems. This isn't the first time I can't add a course, but all the courses I couldn't add were from my own dept. Therefore, I know who should I email. This is the first time I can't add a class from the other dept, so I've no clue who should I email for help.

You already answered your own question:
Requirements from registrar:
" Enrollment Restrictions:
1. JUNIORS AND ABOVE
2. DEPT PREMAJORS & MAJORS "

Since its more essential for those in the major to enroll in the course, they restrict enrollment to outside majors until sometime after 2nd pass starts. Of course you can try emailing them, but if they do what they're suppose to, they'll probably just tell you that you have to wait until all the people in the major have a chance to enroll first before they open it up to outside majors

And it doesn't look like its filling fast at all unless I'm looking at the wrong class because what I'm seeing is 116/290

that is pretty fast, but it's a popular class. probably it's filling like that because everyone is using first pass on it in anticipation of it filling, but it might very easily plateau by second pass. besides there's a waitlist of 25 (very generous), so don't stress!

I misunderstood "dept major". I always used 2nd pass to add psychology classes so I wasn't aware of the meaning of departmental major. I thought "dept major" meant any majors could enroll... Anyway, I've a back-up, anthro 7....

Thanks you guys!

heh, anthro 7.
don't bother going to lecture ;)
