<p>Ok, if I have a graph of f(x), and 5 points are plotted, how can I tell if those points will be positive or negative in the graph of f'(x) and f''(x). I think that for f'(x), I draw the tangent line and decide if the slope is positive or negative. For f''(x) I know it has something to do with concavity. Any help you can offer will be appreciated.</p>

<p>If the slope, f'(x), is increasing f''(x) is positive.</p>
