Urgent Question About SAT Subject Tests

Hello,

So I made a really big mistake and completely forgot to send in a score report of my Math 2 and Bio Subject Tests to Notre Dame. I just rush reported them last night after checking the portal and seeing the message that said for subject tests to be considered they must be submitted separately.

Who can I contact to make sure that these scores are considered in reviewing my application. I know that chances are they have already finished reading most apps, but I still want to give it a shot. My counselor has not responded to any of the emails I have sent in the past, and I dont want to risk sounding too anxious or pushy. Would calling Undergraduate Admissions be a good move, as I really need them to see these scores because they do strengthen my application (especially the Math 2 score).

Please let me know what options I have right now. I really don´t want to go on blaming myself in the future just because of a stupid mistake I made that may have cost me my admission to ND…

Notre Dame accepts self-reported test scores for all tests, meaning they don’t need official scores until matriculation…did you report your SAT subject test results in your application?

If not, can you update your portal with these scores?

If not, email your admissions rep the subject test results…do that today as the website states Nov 30 is the last day to receive ACT/SAT results for REA (even though they allow self-reporting)…they don’t specify the last day to accept subject test results.

Good luck.

Yeah I did report my scores along with my common app under the section that said “Testing”, but upon looking at the applicant center, it said that I had to send in a score report to them.

Honestly I don’t want to complain but why can’t they just simply add in the option to report subject tests in the self report section. Like it defeats the purpose to have a self report section solely for SAT, but if u take a subject test you have to send in a report anyway. That’s why I didn’t send in my subject test scores because it just felt too redundant but now upon looking closer I feel really stupid for not sending them in.

Don’t worry about it. The official scores of the ones you self-reported are on their way.

I would still send an email today to your AO to communicate the scores and that you sent the official ones from CollegeBoard.

Short and simple email, just the facts, no apologies or long explanations, and of course, no suggestion that they be more clear on their website (even though they should be!).

Good luck.
