Urgent! - question about supplement for engineering

Hi there,
I’m applying to Brown RD, and I’m selecting engineering as my primary concentration choice. There’s an extra essay for students interested in engineering, but it seems to be quite similar to one of the other questions in the supplement.

  1. What experiences and/or courses beyond school work have broadened your interest in Engineering?

  2. Why are you drawn to the area(s) of study you indicated earlier in this application? If you are “undecided” or not sure which Brown concentrations match your interests, consider describing more generally the academic topics or modes of thought that engage you currently. (150 word limit)

How should I differentiate in my responses? I wrote the engineering-specific essay, but it already answers the question “why am I drawn to the area of study I indicated (engineering).” Someone suggested I just write “see engineering essay” in the second box, but I’m not sure that that’s a good idea.

I appreciate any help! Thanks so much

This exact question has been asked and answered countless times on this forum. Every year someone asks it. Do a search. Most applicants figure out a way to write two different answers.

Sorry, no need to be short with me, I was just asking a question. I did do a search and didn’t find anything that helped me, which is why I decided to ask myself. Thanks for your response.
