Urgent Question about Telebears

I am intending to declare Environmental Economics and Policy. However, I can't really sign up for any ENVECON classes since the major advisor restricts them herself. However, I can sign up for a class that fulfills the quantitative methods portion of the major..

The class in question is public health 142.

<a href="http://infobears.berkeley.edu:3400/osc/?_InField1=RESTRIC&_InField2=75677&_InField3=12D2%5B/url%5D">http://infobears.berkeley.edu:3400/osc/?_InField1=RESTRIC&_InField2=75677&_InField3=12D2</a></p>

Those are the restrictions for the class. Obviously, I don't have the major of Public Health. But it is also open to students with a class level of junior and senior.

However, my bearfacts says this:

Education level: Junior
Non-AP level: sophomore
Future Telebears Level: Senior

Which one do I look at? I can't really afford to be dropped since I don't know what else to take...

Thanks!

bump. i’m just scared that they might manually drop me later, haha. unless telebears restricts you if you don’t meet any of the course restrictions? if that is the case, then atleast i have 24 hours to find somethign else…

I think you have a class level of “junior”. Look at the first one.

You’re considered a junior now (education level), but you’ll be a senior next semester (future telebears level). That’s what telebears looks at when registering for classes, so you’re a senior. Don’t worry.

The non-AP level is used to determine telebears appointment times, but has no function during the actual telebears phases.

Apparently, I can’t sign up, since I "don’t meet the class restrictions.

There is another option: PUBLIC HEALTH 140. It is taught by Professor Tartar, but there are almost no reviews on him and this class.

I am deciding between this class and stats 131a with Stoyanov…do you guys have any advice?

Ah, it says this: “Students with a major of Public Health and Students with a class level of Senior or Junior (Open)”. That means you must be declared Public Health AND be a junior/senior, which is why you couldn’t sign up for the class.

I don’t know any of the other classes you mention, so I can’t help; sorry!
