Urgent question + chance me?

Guys I turned in my application about 2 weeks ago, and my high school transcript got there a week and a half ago. However, in the Required Document Status box, it says the following:

Your Transcript from:
Advanced Placement
WAITING FOR AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
Please request that an official transcript be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P. O. Box 160111, Orlando, FL 32816-0111.
Please allow 3-7 business days processing time for electronic transcript receipt and up to 14 business days (during peak processing time) for paper transcripts.

Basically it is saying that I need to send my official AP exam transcripts from College Board. However, I believe that they do not need them for admission, and I tried calling but they didn't answer. I do not want to send them right now because they cost $15. Plus, I got a 2 on all 4 AP exams that I took. (AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Lang, and APUSH)

Do I really need to send it?

Oh and please chance me?

SAT: 1840 (Superscore)
CR: 570 (English is not my first language)
M: 650
W: 620 (63 MC with 8 Essay)

GPA: 2.97 UW (I messed up really bad sophomore and junior year); 3.75 W

Took a total of 9 AP classes: (the rest were all honors)
AP Bio
AP Chem
AP Psychology
AP US History
AP Physics
AP Government
AP Macroeconomics
AP Calculus
AP Language

I submitted two really good essays, which were reviewed by my English teacher.

I have really good extracurriculars, including soccer, boxing, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta(math national honor society), Pre-med Club, Photoshop, teaching, etc...

I'm really scared because my GPA is terrible.

Don’t worry about the AP status, it says the same thing for my DD and she has been accepted for weeks. They don’t use AP scores in admissions (to my knowledge), but only for placement. They do use the number of AP courses as one way to measure the level of class rigor, and they will get that from your school transcripts.

Your wGPA appears fine. If UCF also calculates it as a 3.75, and with your SAT, you should be a match.

Good Luck!!

Hey insidious01! I emailed the admissions office about the AP scores affecting my decision or not and this was there response:

The timeframe in which freshman applicants receive an admission decision is directly related to the competitiveness of their academic credentials. Students who are considered more competitive for admission are likely to receive a decision prior to students who are considered less than competitive for admission. Your admission decision will not be held up for AP scores as the scores are not part of the admission decision.

But I applied on October 2nd, and had all materials in by the 7th and still have yet to hear back, so I thought that would have been the issue. I guess not. You seem like you have a good chance though. I’m the same as you, I screwed up my freshman year and half of my sophomore year and then actually got to work but my GPA only shows the screwed up me. I have a 2.7 UW but a 4.0 W and my test scores are good so I’m just hoping they realize that. I almost think it looks better to see such big improvement in a student and it shows that they are actually diligent now. But what do I know? Good luck!
