Urgent Question For Accepted Students who have Received their acceptance packages

Basically, my question is what are the exact contents of your admission's offer?

I was admitted to the BA/MD program. I received on Saturday a folder from GW that said on the cover "Offer of Admission." Inside it were 3 pages: 2 regarding BA/MD and one generic one from the college I was admitted too. 1 of those BA/MD pages said that I needed to answer them by the 15th, but that I could send my official acceptance of admission with the money by May 1st. However, I have never received information as to how to accept the offer or where to send the payment. The above page didnt even say where to send my answer for the BA/MD program. I have the feeling that I did not receive an additional acceptance package with all of this information. Can someone please confirm this?

come on. i know that someone out of the 22 views has been accepted.

Well, like you said, I received a blue folder titled ‘Offer of Admission’.
When I open it, I get three folds/panels…kinda like unfolding a big brochure.
Panel 1/First side: Just a general congratulations letter.
Panel 2/Second (middle side): I have a letter all about the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences (where I applied and got in)
Panel 3/Third side: It’s like a pocket with two additional folders that has a picture of George Washington on the cover.

First folder: Hold a Declaration of Intent, where I fill in the form checking whether I will (or will not) accept the their Offer of Admission… and there’s also a couple of other leaflets. First one is labeled Fixed Tuition, College Expenses and Housing Options…second one is Important Steps for the Class of 2013 and third one is 'The George Washington University invites you to visit campus in April.

Second folder: International checklist (I’m an international student)

I’m guessing if you’re from the US, you will only get one George Washington picture folder thingy.

Anyway, I hope that helps!

By the way, the Declaration of Intent states the deposit instructions; it says:

To accept our Offer of Admission, you need to complete and submit this Declaration of Intent form. Mail this form with your non-refundable enrollment deposit to The George Washington University, Office of Undergraduate admissions…(says address) Please write the student’s name and GWID on the check or money order made payable to The George Washington University

So yeah, that’s how you accept the offer. The letter says your name address, your GWID, dob, semester you’re going in and college and it says to return the form by May 1, 2009.

None of my other letters say anything about other deadlines.

Once again, hope that helped :]

W_icked is totally right. Btw wicked have you received financial aid package yey or are you able to check it somehow through their website? Because I havent and it guess it will take ages to get here since they send it via normal mail …Thanks

In addition to the letters there was a checklist telling you to go to Http://Gwired.gwu.edu/freshmen</a> and clicking admitted students.

It also listed as step one. Sign and return your declaration of intent form and enrollment fee ($800) Inside the package there was a small Declaration of Intent form (you need to say yes I am attending and it also asked what other schools you were accepted to). It came with an envelope preaddressed.

You should call the school and discuss with them that you did not recieve these forms. Possibly there is a way to accept online and pay but I could not find it.
Good luck and congrats on the 6 year program acceptance.

Hey murko - I didn’t apply for financial aid so I’m not so sure about it :S Sorry!
