URGENT question for May 3rd

OK, here's the question-

The least integer of a set of consecutive integers is -25. If the sum of these integers is 26, how many integers are in this set?
(BB, pg400, no.20)

The BB answer is E,52. This works if you take 0 as an integer.

But 0 isn't an integer. So it should be D,51. But it says consecutive integers.

What are you supposed to do if this comes for the test?

Uhh...0 is an integer so the BB is correct.

pwned. 0 is neither negative or positive. maybe u got it confused.

did you count the first and last numbers? they are integers...maybe you forgot to count those

By the way, 0 is not an integer

-25 to -1 is 25
1 to 26 is 26
That's 51, but trust me 0 is an integer so that makes 52.

^ yeah look... Integer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia : The integers are the set of numbers consisting of the natural numbers **including 0/B and their negatives (0, −1, −2, −3, ...)

0 is an integer.
It's just neither a positive integer nor a negative integer.

Remember though, 0 is an even integer.

That being said, 0 can sometimes be a pain in the rear (I know). :D

Is that confusing? Or helpful?

wow....
i can't believe i've lived 17 years without knowing 0 is an integer...
yup so it is 52... Thx!
