Urgent question, neen an answer please :(

Hello,
I wanted to ask that is it possible to apply as a freshman to a university in the US after you have spent a year in a university in ur own country. By this i mean NOT apply as an international transfer but as a freshman ?

Thanks

A few colleges allow it but most don't. You'll have to ask each college individually about their institutional policies.

Most people conveniently leave out the fact that they completed a year in their home country and apply as freshmen anyway.

Yes, you may leave out the fact that you didn't do any school this year, but the adcoms will wonder what did you do the past 12 months...they'll also notice the fact that you graduated from high school in 2007 let's say. So, be careful what you choose to omit and what not. good luck! :D

I doubt it'll be a problem, tons of people take a gap year and then apply, so they will just think the same :p
