Thanks in advance for answers! I have been admitted to a couple Ucs but still waiting to hear from Ucsb
That is where I really would like to go. But SDSU is a potential back up school for csu's. Csu 's SIR are due today. If I submit SIR to SDSU and then get into UCSB and decide to go there or to one of the other Uc's I got into after I withdraw from sdsu could I or would I still be allowed to SIR at a UC? Or once you SIR somewhere are all your other admission offers withdrawn? Would they automaticly take them away? Thanks!!!

I thought the deadline for Cal state’s SIRs was yesterday?

San Diego states for transfer students is May 2nd, so today…

Answers anyone!?? =) =) pleassssse I have to know tonight =(

i could be totally wrong but i think the uc system is totally separate than the cal state system. I don’t think you could sir at multiple csu’s or uc’s, but I really don’t think ucsb could find out if you sir’ed at sdsu. The only downside is you’ll lose your deposit if you end up not going to sdsu. Even if ucsb does find out and get upset, you could definitely fight it and say they changed their notification date at the last minute.

I am very confident that they are entirely different systems. They are both publicly funded but neither have any relation to each other and as far as we know, they don’t communicate about student admissions. So if you are really considering SDSU over the other UCs that you’ve been accepted to already, you should SIR! I love San Diego :)

Thank you guys for the info, I really appreciate it! I am just curious if I decide to withdraw the SIR to SDSU how would I do it? Does anyone know, is it as easy as submitting something on the computer? Or do you have to officially mail something in or call or what? Has anyone done this before?

BUMP anyone know answers to this?

Can you SIR at one school then change your mind and switch?

I have the same dilemma–I’m waiting on my admission decision for UCI and I have CSULA as my backup school. I submitted my SIR for CSULA today but if I find out I get admitted to UCI, I’m going to withdraw it. It shouldn’t be that hard to do, I’m pretty sure it happens all the time especially now when some UCs have gone past their admission decision deadlines.
