Urgent Question. Please Help!!!

I have had a terrible senior year with my grades. I am wanting to apply to American University. However I am trying to avoid my senior year from being seen. I saw that American has a deadline of Dec 15 application for certain scholarships. If I a apply for this deadline could my senior year not be considered in the admission. My school doesn't give final grades until January 26 range.

They may not see them before your application is reviewed, but they will eventually see them. Many colleges want to see senior grades and can (and will) rescind acceptances. What is the reason for your slump so far? Is it something that your guidance counselor can explain in his/her letter of recommendation or that you can justify in an essay?

From the school website: “Send your Mid-Year Report. Have your school counselor complete, sign and submit the Mid-Year Report along with your official mid-year grades as soon as they become available.”

Your school will have to send those grades when they come out, and American will definitely consider them as part of your application. You cannot hide your poor grades.

@KKmama‌ Mental illness in the family. I believe my grades aren’t low enough for it to be rescinded. So I’m just hoping if I submit my app tommorow they won’t see my senior year in the evaluation. Maybe my counselor can wait till the lastest possible time send them to the school
