Yesterday the telephone in my house malfunctioned, which I was not able to hear any voice from callers. Unfortunately, I got several calls from some one (5pm to 9pm) who I pretty sure was not my parent's friend nor my friend even though I was not able to hear anything that person said due to phone problem. I am wondering what if those calls were from a alumni who wants to arrange an interview? If this is the case, generally, will that person call back again? (This person probably knew someone was at home since I picked up the phone every time) Do you think I should contact the admission office?

When I call a student and do not have a response in a few days, I then send an email. If that does not work then I call the school where the student attends and ask the GC to pass on a message. Last week I called a student and did not have a return call. I sent an email and yesterday the student called and said the number was erased. She called the DED and got my number. Most interviewers will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you did not get the message.

great thanks people, your responses make me feel much better. I still havet received any call yet. I guess if no one called by monday, I will contact the admission office.

Happened to me. For some reason my UPenn interviewer couldn't get ahold of me and either his messages somehow weren't getting saved or he thought he was dialing the wrong number (my parents use their house phone as the official phone for their business, so the answering machine message is pretty crazy and it doesn't sound like you are calling our house). So he contacted my college counselor who gave me his number and asked me to call him. No biggie.
