I'm about to place my "order" to send my SAT scores to Harvard (subject tests) and the other schools I'm applying to. But if I don't get rush reporting, which is an extra $30, it says it takes 1 or 2 weeks for schools to get them. Now if they don't get my score reports until 1 to 2 weeks from now (AFTER the SCEA deadline), am I still okay?

Ordinarily, there’s no reason to use rush delivery, but as you’re 4 days away from the deadline, I would send them rush.

Seriously? I read Harvard’s website and it talked about how even if you take the November series of tests you don’t need to send them rush as it is an “unneeded” expense (I’m paraphrasing a bit). I’m just trying to save myself another $30 here but if you honestly think my application will suffer by not sending them rush, I guess I’ll do it.

Harvard has that phrasing on their website for the November tests because it’s impossible to get them there sooner than November – rush or no rush. But, your scores are for previous test dates, correct? So . . . you’ve had months to send in your scores, but are now just doing it at the last minute? I would send them in ASAP unless taking the November test.

Makes sense. Alright, thanks gibby.
