urgent question

after registering for orientation date
it says

You are currently registered for the Engineering Orientation Session starting on Tuesday, July 25, 2006.

however, I believe that the orientation date is for 3 days ??
so would I be done by the 27th ??
It didn't say anything about being 3 days when i was registering...

Yes, you would finish on the 27th. They have the orientations be three days/two nights in length. However, all you do on the last day is register for classes so that will only take about a half of a day (maybe less depending on when your registration appointment is). It's no secret that the Michigan orientations are three days in length.

my daughter just got back from Michigan....make time for it and go the entire 3 days....she thought it very helpful.

After you attend, you can decide whether it is worth it, but to my mind you want to do all you can to prepare to do well in your first year. Go - its a big place - get a feel for things, and start imagining where you want to be while there.

im sorry, but i don't see why your question is urgent at all.

its not an issue of "making time"...you have to go to all 3 days or you won't be able to register for classes.

Do you have to go to Orientation? or can you skip it, it would cost me an airplane flight plus the fee.

Orientation is mandatory. No getting out of it. NONE.

I don't get to register for classes until the 3rd day? Sad.

What if there are financial circumstances that don't allow me to go, it will cost some money..

maguo1

it was urgent for me because my dad needed to know before leaving on a business trip so he could set up the next trip with me if it was possible

i am sorry that i stole your precious 15 seconds

sorry, I just couldn't see at the time why it would merit being entitled "urgent question".
