I am in Mongolia, and am not sure how I will send my 400$. I think it is not safe enough to send it through post. How do you send it?

can't you do it online or send it via check?

I sent them a draft (a money order) through the post. Why wouldn't it be safe to send your deposit through the post anyway?

^^ because our family once lost a lot of money. post offices here are not that safe. most of my packages from colleges were opened when I got them. so you see what I meant?

how do I send online? do they have a credit card number or something like that? if so, that will be a lot easier.

thanks! and need more suggestions.

If you have a bank account in the United States, I would imagine that a cheque from that account would be safer because postal workers in Mongolia would (presumably) not have a use for American cheques.
Otherwise, use a private courier (Fedex, etc) that serves Mongolia or email the Cornell Undergraduate Admissions Office at 1 - 607 255-5241 or at intl-inquiry@cornell.edu and explain your situation. I am sure they can work something out with you.
