hey guys. i'm a senior and i'm signing up for my classes for next term at a cc in an hour and need to know: do you need to have taken pre-cal to get into usc? cuz i'd much rather just take statistics online and not bother with taking pre-cal. but if it's one of those things i need, please tell me and i'll take it.

so far i've taken honors geometry in 9th grade and honors algebra II in 10th. no math junior year.

please help!!!!

There is no official requirement that you have taken pre-cal to be accepted at USC. The most appealing applicants, however, typically have four years of math.

well everything else in my app is above average for usc. sat scores, gpa, etc. :-/ i’ve also taken more than recommended for social science as well (5 years versus their recommended 2, if i’m not mistaken).

but i know that at some top top colleges like the ivies, pre-cal is basically a requirement or you cannot get accepted, and so i’m wondering: is that how it is at usc? should i skip the stats online and take pre-cal? it’d be a major inconvenience to my parents if i have to be driven to the cc every day and all, but if it’s like a latent requirement, i’ll do it.
