<p>Hey guys. I will know if I am accepted into National Honor Society on monday but I already applied to a couple colleges. Can I/ Should I email my colleges to let them know of my accomplishment if I get in? Thanks</p>
<p>Well to be honest, I don't think it'll make a big difference (unless you get a leadership position) due to the fact that at competitive colleges almost ALL students have NHS... :S. You should list it though, if you can, but I don't think it'll be a HUGE deal if you don't</p>

<p>I'd tell them via snail mail. An e-mail is less likely to make it into your file.</p>
