Hi, my teachers had started to write the recommendation form for me, both of them told me that they've finished with it, however, one was shown as 'submitted :xx/xx/2013' whilst the other one was shown as 'started : xx/xx/2013', same to my school report. I am pretty sure both of my teachers have pressed the submit button on common app. If it is not shown as 'submitted', does that mean the colleges won't be able to see the recommendation letter and my school report?? There is still a green tick beside the 'assign recommeders' column though!

A lot of recommenders are still having technical problems submitting. You might suggest that the one having a problem should talk to another teacher who has completed the process to see what might be causing the issue.

Your green tick shows you have properly assigned them, which means your work on that part is done. But, if one of the recs does not show as “submitted” and is only started, that teacher hasn’t done everything needed to submit the rec, yet. Your schools will not see that rec until the teacher finishes submitting. Ask your teacher to double check his or her account to finalize and submit.

I am literally freaking out now … my teacher said she already submitted the school report form but it’s still shown as ’ Started’ in common app. I asked her to double check but she never replies my emails now, probably because it’s holiday now at my school (i study in australia)… so I couldn’t even call the school. 3 days left now. I don’t know what to do anymore, if I submit my application like that will the colleges just reject me straight away when they see the school report form isn’t submitted?? Sorry for any confusion… hope someone could help me! thnks!

anyone please :(?

last chance ! please!

lol no one helps me i am just gonna submit my application then :-(

Don’t worry! From what I’ve heard a lot of schools are lenient when it comes to late recommendation letters, especially since there’s been a lot of technical issues with the common app this year. As long as you submit your app on time and tell your teachers to submit the letters asap, then you’ll be fine.

@deeisawesome thanks so much! x
