I'm applying ED to ILR, which only requires one subject test in Math, which I've taken. On the application, I indicated my alternate choice college as CAS. If CAS requires two SAT II's, should I take another one? It's not my first choice, but I don't know if I would be penalized.

If you get rejected to ILR, you won’t be seriously considered for CAS because your application will be incomplete.

Would it be too late to take my second SAT II in November? For ED.

that’s a toughy. honestly, if you aren’t qualified for ILR, CAS is a longshot anyway. but if you have some niche talent that may get you into CAS, then i would take another SAT II asap. I believe if you are not taken for ILR ED, then you get put into the RD at both of your choices, so the time-sensitivity becomes less pertinent. It’s been a while since I’ve been at Cornell and talked to admins, so please correct me if I’m wrong.

^From what I understand (I may be wrong) if you’re rejected from your first choice, you’re considered an ED applicant for your second choice as well. So if you’re rejected to ILR and accepted to CAS, you’re stuck in CAS until/unless you transfer.

According to Islander4, Cornell accepts November SAT Subject Tests for ED, but not the SAT I.

Ah thank you so much! I decided I’m just going to apply to ILR, without the alternate choice college. I think I’m a better fit at ILR anyway.
