i want to sign up for the december SAT test but i'm not 100% sure if i'll be ready to take the test yet, but i'm registering just in case. when you register for the test they have 4 free score reports sending.. i want to know, will my previous tests be sent out even if i don't take the december test? or will it automatically cancel my orders? THANK YOU!

You don't have to send out the 4 free score reports. You can opt to have no scores sent out.

I know, but I want to but I just want to know if it'll still work even if I don't take the test.

No, it will not. geek_son missed a test date due to illness, and no test results were sent out from that administration -- historical or otherwise -- even though he had paid in full and score reports are included in the fee. The results don't get sent out because the results from that particular test administration are "pending," and of course if you don't take the test, they'll be "pending" forever.

You might also want to know that in future score reports, the colleges don't get notified that you registered but didn't show up -- and that the "scores delayed, we're still looking for them" message will appear forever in your summary of sent scores, but this will /not/ affect you when you send reports in the future.

You can cancel a test if you call CB soon enough, and CB will give you a discount on a replacement date for the same test. Then the "scores delayed" message won't appear in your summary of sent scores.

All of this information comes from geek_son's experience and consultation with a CB phone service rep.
