URGENT: Send or Fax?

I have a scholarship app deadline coming up. The place is only about 15-20 miles away, so it'd take like a day to mail it in. It just needs to be postmarked by Friday. Or I could fax it. Or should I do both?

Paranoia much…?

First of all, the time it takes to mail something isn’t dependent on distance. It may be flown all the way across the country and back in the sorting process.

Secondly, do you know what “postmarked” means? It means that you must put it in the mail by Friday. So why is there any question as to whether or not you could mail it, considering that you have all of tomorrow to get it in a mailbox?

In addition, I don’t understand why this is “urgent” if the deadline is Friday.

Also, if you have any question at all about what to do, why not just do what you know would get it there immediately?

VERY paranoid. But I figure I’ll send it in the mail. Mail seems more official.

Yeah I know what postmarked is.

Well, best of luck!

You should drop it off at a local post office if it needs to be postmarked. I’ve had times where my mail at home isn’t picked up until the end of the day and isn’t postmarked until the following morning.
