Urgent....soo confused..ed or not? Major or not?

Okie guys here’s the situation applied to my first choice EA..got in..but didnt got enuf aid...this college provides engineering!

I can appeal but my aid will most probably not be increased significantly..asin not wht i want it to be..butttt it can get close to wht i want it to be and then mayb my out of campus housing and job i can fill in the gap.....

I applied to 2 other places RD....once i got to knw tht my aid might not be good enuf..i emailed one of the places and asked if i can change my status to ED2....they just replied saying yes!!i wasn’t expecting it since their decision comes out on 15th feb...

Now my problem is tht this other place doesn’t offer the major im interested in..it does offer something im interested in but i haven’t really made up my mind about it....sooo SHOULD i change to ED2?????

Btw im international and the second school guarantees to meet full need....
ALSO...is it possible to get out of the ED contract if decide tht i want to do a major thts not provided by the college? coz my first choice intended major isn’t provided by the second place :)

I knw its complicated..but it is wht is it...any advice and help will be appreciated..i have till 2moro to send the signed ED contract!!!!!!!

Also money is kinnda a big factor coz i don’t really want my family to slave so much for my college cost...and choice number 2 will make sure they don’t..choice one is affordable, but it means that a majority of the cash goes to my fees which im not comfortable with.

reply..THX :)

I would go with the one that is more affordable, nobody wants to be stuck with a mountain of debt after college.

Technically this is not a valid reason to turn down an ED acceptance. Only lack of sufficient FA is. That being said, the college can’t compel you to attend, but there could be a backlash to your school/GC.

ED means that you are committed to that school unless you can not afford to attend. They could notify other schools, and that would get your acceptance rescinded by the other schools.
