Hello, I'm an international student who was admitted to UCLA's engineering program (mechanical engineering).

However, I feel that my strengths are more at the business side of things rather than the engineering side. So, I was wondering if it was possible to change to an economics undergrad or a BizEcon (I've heard talks on how this one may not be possible).

Any UCLA experts, please help me with a reply ASAP.

Thx! :)

Yes, you can switch to economics easily. For BizEcon, you'll face an admissions process. Good luck.

don't you need to do pre bizecon before you can get into the bizecon major? anyways just take econ major classes during orientation and switch once you get here, no need to sweat about it while you are still in highschool...

I heard on a few other threads on how from engineering, you can't change to BizEcon or something?

Are changing majors from Engineering to Econ or BizEcon (Pre's) hard? Any minimum requirements or things I need to fulfil? After all, UCLA accepted me for applying to ME, not Econ. ;)

Thank you.

its not hard to change from engineering to econ, people say that because you need to switch from engineering school to College of letters and science which is easy... switching from college of ls to engineering is harder...
