I am a student at at a California community college and have already applied to all major UC campuses. I have a brief question regarding the Transfer Academic Update:
Because the Transfer Academic Update priority filiing period has passed, I am curious about what the policy is in regards to adding/dropping a course after that period.
I am enrolled in 15 units this semester and considering dropping one of the courses (for personal reasons).
After dropping this course, I will still have above 60 units and IGETC completed. This course was taken striclty for elective purposes and is not required by my major at any of the UC campuses.

My question is:
Will dropping this course and only being enrolled in 10 units, 2 units below full-time, affect my chances for admission at the UC?
Also, is it 'frowned upon' to make changes to the UC transfer academic update after the priority filing period?
If so, do you recommend that I make a note in the 'comment section' provided on the application explaining my circumstance...if it is even possible at this time?

I spoke with an representative for one of the UC's and they said that it does not matter if I am below full time during my last semester as long as I am above 60 units, completed IGETC, and major prep...all of which I have done. However, I am concerned that the admissions decision is highly subjective and left to the individual admissions officer, so while one may think it is 'no big deal', another may 'frown upon' the situation.

INPUT PLEASE!! I need to complete this by TODAY.
