URGENT: under 12 units fin aid rules??

ok, so Im in a little pickle. I'm come down with two bad colds this quarter and am basically failing all my classes (my midterm grades are c-, c-, c+). I can't drop two classes (impacted) but the profs have offered to give me E.C. I have another class I can drop but it would take me below 12 units. I know financial aid checks week 3 but do they check after (or do I have to tell them)? I also have a subsidized student loan.

Also, what does it mean (just in general not for fin aid) that I would no longer be considered full time?

Relax…

It happens to even the best of us.

I had a quarter at UCLA where I went under the 12 units. I am also broke UCLA student and depend heavily on financial aid.

if you under the 12 units they are not going to cut all your aid (the exception is the summer session). Go to the financial aid and explain your situation. However if you make a habit and drop classes every quarter then you can become ineligible financial aid student.
