Urgent waitlist question about sending letters of recommendation

I was waitlisted at a few schools, and wanted to send an additional letter of recommendation to those that encourage them. I had a few teachers already write my letters at the time i applied, so the colleges did not see the extra letters because i did not send all of them. should i send the colleges one of those letters that was written prior to my senior year or should i send a letter from a senior year teacher? I have a senior year teacher who I have a good relationship with but i dont want to inconvenience her by asking when I could send an already written letter. I’m thinking that it would still be better to have my senior year teacher write the letter, but let me know what you think

Couple of questions. Why did those letters not get sent before? I realize you can only send 2 or 3 initially but who decided which letters would be submitted? Did you read them? Did a GC decide without showing them to you?

If they were not sent because they were not as glowing, then you need to send a new one.

If they were not sent because they were not senior year teachers but otherwise praised you to the sky, then perhaps those people/person can update the letter to reflect the current situation which is easier than starting over.

No, it’s not that they weren’t good it’s just that I accidentally asked too many teachers and did not want to send too many letters of recommendation!! I switched off between all of my teachers’ letters and sent all of them to at least a few schools, but I never sent all of the letters to one single school otherwise it would have been too many. I trust that they are all good

bump

i’d really apreciate some input

Ask your GC who can actually read the letters what he recommends.
