did anyone get in? does Wellesley contact ppl to enroll at the very last minute when they discovered that some ppl didn't show up when college commences? Has this ever happened at Wellesley before? Any input would be much appreciated! Thanks!

You could contact the Admissions Office, if you are still hoping to attend. However, from what I read elsewhere, more people accepted the offers of admission than expected so it is unlikely there would be any last minute wait list movement. Plus, everyone's now paid the bill for the fall. But again, call admissions and get it from the only source that knows.

2010 is right... As of August 1st, all students had to have their bill paid. I think you can get a full refund (or at least close to it) if you pull out before classes start, so I guess technically it is possible for students not to come at this point. However, I think waitlists are just about exhausted at all colleges (if used at all), so there probably won't be much movement.

What 2010 & LisaG said.

However...

I don't have experience with waitlists, having the joys of being rejected outright instead- but don't colleges send out letters to people when the list is closed? Did anyone get something like that from Wellesley?

yea colleges will send you a final rejection letter if you dont make it past the wait list... trust me i know from experience.

Did you end up at Wellesley? How is it going?

I got a letter saying that they closed the wait list :(

turnip--how are you enjoying Cal?

I'm a spring admit, so I start in January. I have orientation in a week and I'm looking forward to it. How's Wellesley?
