Students enrolled in A-level programs may use two completed A-level results as a substitute for the two SAT Subject Tests, provided official test results arrive at Yale by February. You must still take either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Plus Writing. Predicted A-level results may not be used in place of the SAT Subject Tests.
Do I still have to send sat subject test scores. I got 790 on math2 and 730 on chem.
How do I know whether or not my Yale application is complete. If something is missing will they send an email?
If your application was incomplete you would have received an email around the 3rd week of January, alerting you to what elements were missing. If you didn’t get an email, then it’s a good assumption your application is complete.
Thanks a lot gibby. I had another question. I belong to a very low income family. I got 1940 on the SAT. (580,700,660) (CR,MATH,WRITING). DID COMPOSITE A LEVELS CIE.
PHY: A
CHEM: A
MATH: A
FURTHER MATHS: B
BIOLOGY: B
GCSE: 7 A* AND 4 A ALL CORE SUBJECTS. A* IN ENGLISH AS A FIRST LANGUAGE.
WNAT TO DO MAJOR IN MATHS. DO I STAND ANY CHANCE OF GETTING INTO YALE. ALSO NO ONE FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL HAS EVER GOTTEN IN. NO ONE HAS EVER EVEN APPLIED.
@juggu96 Even well qualified applicants have a 90% or better chance of not being accepted.
And please refrain from using Caps Lock. Readers react to this as though they are being shouted at.
Yale is a long shot for everyone, especially international students. Yale currently enrolls about 1300 freshman and only 10% are internationals, so do the math: 1170 US Students + 130 International students = not great odds for any international student. To be admitted, you have to be one of the best students from your country. From your SAT scores and GPA, I’m guessing that other applicants from your country would have better credentials, but that’s just a guess. No one but the Admissions Office gets to read the entire files of all applicants, so who knows.
