I happened to miss the june 9 deadline for housing and i’m deeply worried. will i be turned away housing? I really have no preference, but i have in ISHP…so I’m hoping I’m still able to get into Miller hall. Soo what is the process now? What are my chances of getting housing at Miler hall? thanks!

First off, you can't pick what hall you want even if you made the deadline... only able to pick what area you want (segundo, tercero, cuarto).

Secondly, the way the process works is they put everyone who finished their app on time into houses, and then start putting everyone who didn't send their app in on time in the remaining houses after everyone else has a room. However, if you send your app in like June 10th, you will be put into a room before someone who sent the app in, say, July 31st. So get that app sent in and good luck!

I cant find the application...Could you redirect it to me? And Since I'm in the Integrated Studies Honor Program, which states that all ISHP students reside in Miller Hall, won't I still have a vacant spot? I would be grateful if you culd show me where the app is, because I think its currenty offline right about now.

Looks like its still offline

" Dear Prospective Residence Hall Student,

The residence hall application process is currently closed and the housing application link is unavailable until all ontime freshman applications have been processed. We expect to be done with freshman application processing by Friday, June 16. Once the process is complete, the housing application link for residence hall students will be made available again.

If you are a new incoming freshman who did not send in your contract and reservation fee in an envelope postmarked by the June 9 deadline and/or your application was completed online after June 9, 12 midnight (PST), your housing application is late and you will be placed on a waiting list. Students on the waiting lists will be assigned to rooms, if space becomes available. This will be done in chronological order of the date and time that all housing application requirements were completed. Email notifications will be sent to all new incoming freshmen in late status by Tuesday, June 20.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Yup...That's what I read. So hopefully, I can get on it soon. Thanks for your help! any other advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think the post by Studyfiend is accurate.

Your situation is unique, in that ISHP is only at Miller.

I'd suggest calling the housing office to let them know of your situation.

I'd also suggest contacting Jenny Moody, Program Manager of ISHP , jhmoody@ucdavis.edu to see if she can help.

I'd heard that ISHP is quite overbooked this year, so you'll want to make sure that everyone knows that you are still interested in being in ISHP/Miller.

Good luck.

Update:
Well, it seems that i've contacted Mrs. Moody prior to my posting on CC, and I received a response from her, saying that she would inform housing of this. Two days later, she told me that the request was approved! So on my housing application i stated ISHP housing first choice..and hopefully all will go well. Thanks for your guys' help!
