Urgentplz...Can somebody tell me if it is beneficial to visit University of Virginia?

I know that UVa says on their website that interviews are not required and don't affect admissions, but I'm wondering if this really is the case, so any help would be greatly appreciated. How much will visiting the university help my application? I need this so urgently b/c I'm leaving to Phili (to visit UPenn) and my parents say I have to decide by Saturday whether to visit UVA or not. Thanks so much!!!!!

I think it makes very little difference. For out of state applicants UVa is extremely numbers driven. If you are good enough to make UVa look good (high SAT scores, stellar GPA, and all the other stuff) when it posts its admissions stats, the admissions office will not care whether you have ever visited or not.

I have to agree with mattmom. UVa is very numbers driven and tend to focus more on the grades and SAT's than the other factors

My son was accepted and we never visited. I must also say that UVa sent us the least info of any college. We got nothing in the way of information by mail, until he got the acceptance letter.

thanks everybody who helped...i guess i'm not going to visit uva
