Here in NJ - online acceptance 1/22 but still no official letter and no portal update with merit scholarship info!

S Accepted RD in state, mechanical engineering. 1400 SAT, 3.6 GPA. Waiting for packet. Curios to see what scholarships they offer for in state.
@hak7735 My instate son with the same SAT (1400) and a bit higher GPA for computer engineering received 6k per year for the centennial scholarship which is more than his brother received 4 years ago (same major, similar stats - he received 5k a year). I’d expect 6k a year max. Not sure if RD might get a little less. We applied early.
Honors college is worth it. Small engaged classes.
He actually did apply early but SAT score didn’t make it to URI in time for EA, so he was deferred to RD.
has anyone who recently provided midyear grades hear anything yet? im wondering how long after they receive them do they make a decision
Accepted EA, Out of State from New York, $13.5K merit aid- 1230 SAT 4.0 GPA. Honors invite. Waiting for Financial aid package. Really like this school, but need some more $$ to make it comparable to our SUNY schools. Does the Honors invitation come with any more money?
Son accepted OOS no merit 1260 SAT 3.2 GPA

@FreshBizParent my son also was accepted OOS with no merit. He also has a 3.2 GPA but URI recalculates them so said he wasn’t eligible for merit. OOS is too high!
My son was accepted RD on Feb 8 but still hasn’t received acceptance packet. Any idea how long it takes to receive?

@senior1226 I hear ya. But his acceptance letter came today and it had 11k merit. So there is hope.
My son applied in November but selected RD because his audition for the music school wasn’t until 2/16. He has heard that is audition went well but they can’t acceot until he is accepted to the university. Pins and needles over here! They requested mid year grades and those were completed 2/6. How are you all seeing results? The portal that they access with their confirmation email?
we were deferred to RD after being sent request for midyear grades. portal says RDs will hear by end of March
Yes, but I’m seeing on here that some are hearing already! Fingers crossed!
