So I applied to URichmind Early Action. I really like the school a lot, but I recently heard from people (and from online rankings) that it is a segregated and somewhat racist school. Can anyone speak on this?
Are they referring to the social scene overall, or in particular subgroups (e.g. sororities and/or fraternities)?

yeah, but Richmond was also the confederate capital. a lot of the history/values are still there.
I’m a student here. It’s very segregated. If you aren’t in Greek Life, you can’t have a social life. The campus literally revolves around the frats and sororities. There’s also a decent amount of racism among the student population. Sorry to share this information, but it was necessary.

This is so not true. My daughter is a sophomore, not Greek, has plenty of social life and is very happy with her friends (mix of Greek and non-greek). Her best friend is in a sorority while she is not.
