Haha. That’s not true at all.

A friend of mine who is white got off the waitlist. He didn’t really have many ECs except football, which he has no desire of continuing in college, and he scored a 2190 on the SAT and a 34 on the ACT.

That’s about after. And thanks Newjack. aminhamenina scared the crap outta me. I’m really hoping that the 36 will hold because that’s the last piece to my puzzle I hope… And yeah, it’s just plain ridiculous how people who are absolutely amazing get rejected all the time now…

36 is just like a 2360-2400, averaging at 2370 or so. There are equivalence charts. It’s just not a full-blown 24 that’s all I was saying. There’s no real difference, I was just nitpicking.

URM + 2400 SAT (36 ACT) = Automatic Acceptance?

Nope, Try this angle:

Hell no! I know someone who had these stats but was rejected from Columbia!

2390 according to the latest estimated concordance:

CharlesChan, what is up with you posting those football links everywhere? It has nothing to do with any of these topics!

For my best friend, I hope this is true lol! Her family (5 people) makes $21,000 and she’s got a 3.9 and a 2380 SAT. She’s first-generation and a URM. Now if only I had the same discipline as she did to have a 3.9GPA :P

Munchkin3590–relevant to “credentials/stats” if you will, as ways of getting in the big H..therefore on topic to both threads…get it?
