URM and SAT scores

I have heard tha URM have a disadvantage on the SAT. I have seen URM get into good schools with low SAT scores.
What are URM expected to score on the SAT?

P.S. I'm an URM

It’s… not that simple. Being an URM helps you, yes, but it’s not like it’s worth some certain number of points on the SAT.

I read an article saying that URM aren’t expected to score in the 2000’s.
I’ll look for it and post the link

Don’t have that in your mind when you go to take the SAT. If you have that is a benchmark (2000 or lower) you might even score lower than you think. While URMs usually do not have as high a SAT score as Caucasians/Asians, they are still expected to score quite high especially if they want to go to an Ivy or a top 10 school. However, chances for a URM getting in with a 2100 on the SAT compared with an Asian with a 2100 are still much better.

I disagree with this outdated notion. The last thing Collegeboard needs is to add more fuel to the ACT side of the fire. Nowadays hey screen each test carefully for anything even remotely interpretable as a racial bias and fix it.

URMs are expected to do what they are capable of doing. Now, there is another argument suggesting that URMs do comparatively poor on the SAT due to “stereotype pressure”…the evidence supporting this claim remains very vague but whether it is true or whether it is significant I don’t know.
