Allow me to explain, I am at a magnet program and there are only 90 kids in the program in my grade. It was ranked 23 best in the nation last year by newsweek. There are 300 kids im my grade at the schoo so i would be top 10% of they do it schoolwide but as far as i can tell they only do it by the magnet program which does not even put me in the top 25%

Personality/Essay
I'm Biracial and my parents are from Europe and Africa. I'm preety outgoing and ambitious and if i enjoy something i do it 110%.
I have never failed or dropped out of anything because it was to difficult. The higher i aim the more i achieve.

Questions

What scores should i be aiming for on my next SAT to have a better shot at some of my reaches

I was planning on working with the Obama campaign this summer. Would that help my application any?

How important are AP exams to application.

Are there any school that are simply out of my reach or any school you think would be better matches?

Is job experience a necessity?

Should i take a Math SAT II instead of two history ones?

You're one hell of an applicant. Relax, you have a chance at any school out there.

I would shoot for a 710 all around on all three section of the sat.
And I would advise a math sat II because it diversifies your application.

2300's would do.

Depends on how much you are involved

Pretty important! Especially taking AP's in the classes that your school doesn't offer and getting good scores. A kid who took 27 AP tests got accepted into MIT, without much else.

I'm not quite sure

No, but it would be a good addition to the EC's. It's not required at all.

From your SAT I's, Math looks to be your forte. Plus many people take that. Why not?

Thanks. Any other opinions?
