URM chances to good schools

Hello everyone, thanks for taking time out of your lives to do this for me okay first of all my stats:

African-American Male if this helps
GPA: 95% somehow high school translates it too 3.63
Class Rank: No clue probably top 20%
School: it was in that newsweek thing pretty competitive for a public school its in NORTHERN Kentucky which is basically a suburb of Cincinnati it is suburban not rural
Ec's: i've been in fbla for 3 of my 4 high school years, gonna end up playing tennis 3 out of 4 years, Math Honor Society for 2(maybe a leadership position)
Community Service:Nothing Major i would tutor an elementary student one afternoon a week last year in math(5 hours)and i worked at a craft fair(10 hours) and various other small things nothing really worth mentioning on an application
ACT: 28 (33 reading, 26 Science, 27 Math, 24 English) i expect english and math to go up at least i don't know about the other ones
SATII: U.S. History-740, taking math 2c and literature in october
Major: at the moment i'm interested in majoring in history, political science, sports marketing something like that(i want to end up going to a good law school and become a sports agent)

Schools:

Ohio State
Louisville
South Carolina
Furman
UCLA
USC
UCB
Pepperdine
Boston University

I know the list of colleges is very spread out i'm just not for sure what exactly i want in a college(also if you have some good colleges you think i might like mention them)

And i'm a legacy to Princeton so yea just wondering cause i think my dad might pressure me to apply there not really that interested
Also a legacy at Stanford(dad's business school)

AP US(4), AP English language(3), currently enrolled in ap english literature, ap euro, and ap calc ab.
afrobllrchrs is online now

afrobllrchrs:

UCB/UCLA: Reach (out of state)

i noticed you always post just about the UC's is there any reason to this also don't you think the UC having such a lack of African-American's and them taking a holistic aproach this year might help

wow.....ur dad went to princeton then stanf... cool

lol......i realise my response doesn't really help u

UCs dont factor in AA.

They probably only mention UCs because they know a lot about UC admissions. The UCs are about as race-blind as is possible (which is why UCB is almost 50% Asian-American now), which won't help you, and if you say you're in the top 20% of your class, that means you're not in the top 10%, yes? For an out of stater, that makes UCB and UCLA very, very unlikely.

okay but i'm not for sure where i am but uhh could people please chance my other schools as well and nobody heard about the new holistic approach the UC's are taking because they have reached all time lows anyways it doesn't matter but just chance other schools as well and also how much does applying early really help

bump any help appreciated

help me would greatly appreciate it
bump

do you plan on taking SAT's?

no i don't because i'm from kentucky and my school is aimed more towards the act i don't think i would do to much better but after my recent act i'm now considering it what are the main differences between the two and up up also could someone tell me if they know anything about urm scholarships at the university of kentucky and if their difficult to attain
