Applied: Caltech, MIT, Harvey Mudd, UMich, UT-Austin, Clarkson, USF, UMelbourne (in Australia)
Rejected: Caltech, MIT, Harvey Mudd
Accepted: UMelbourne (where i decided to attend), UMich, UT-Austin, Clarkson (with honors + full ride), USF (full ride)

I just started my class at University of Melbourne a few weeks ago, and classes here are too easy. They do not give credit for IB, so I am not allowed to skip first year introduction classes. Also, there is no honors class here at my university. I plan to transfer to possible Caltech (my no.1 choice) and maybe a few others like Harvey Mudd (heard they are good with URM) and Rice (same here).

Well I am Thai. You dont see many Thai people in the US do you?

still, Asians are Asians. Please don't be offended. The point is, you do not count as a URM.

lol, yeah... thai=asian=ORM... this thread would be soo much helpful if more people add... so... this sorta like a bump...BUMP

That is pretty awesome, Tony.

Amina it was the General Studies Program(GSP). My test scores were low and NYU has this program for kids they really want to admit but feel won't be able to keep up with the courseload. Which is a bunch of bull, Cornell and Rice thought I was good enough. But I think it really has something to do with the high volume of applications they receive.

Tony truly impressive stats (im jealous)

UVAMalex, how do you like it at UVA? oh, and it's so cool that you're from Eritrea, I have a lot of friends from there..some ppl don't even realize it exists.
