Are there colleges that give scholarships for being an overacheiving URM? Example: Black, 4.0, 1600 SAT, who got into MIT, HYPSCD? (Just wondering.)
And is a URM with those stats in a state college likely to get full scholarship?
<p>I would think someone w/ those stats would know the answers to your questions. There's the Gate Millenium Scholarship for minorities which basically gives you a full ride; but you have to qualify for a Pell grant. and what does the C and D in HYPSCD stand for?</p>

Columbia, Dartmouth and Cprnell, only offer need based financial aid. Unless student is dirt poor there will be no free rides, but each school will try to give him an aid package which will make attending affordable.</p>
