URM top 20%, 33 ACT, 4 700+ Subject tests. solid EC (and everything else) have a shot

Would a URM with top 20% ranking (taking most rigorous curriculum) with 4 SAT2s (all 700+), a 33 ACT, alongside Above Average (or better) essays, above average (or better) ECs, Above Average Recs, and above average interviewer

have a shot at a top 20?

Yale, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Vanderbilt, Brown, Northwestern, Notre Dame?

If, by “URM,” you mean “African-American/Mexican-American/Puerto Rican/Native American,” then you can expect acceptances from all of those schools. Worst case scenario, a waitlist at Yale.

i meant african

i’m afraid of my rank, it’s out of 580 students. it’s pretty low comparatively to those schools’ standards

Yes…

bump

I think you’ll get into all of them as well.

Lulz, untrue. My URM and Legacy sister who had everything the OP has was outright rejected from Cornell. Well, she only had 3 SAT II’s, but I doubt that matters.

It’d be nice if it were true, because then I’d undoubtedly be headed to Yale next year. But it’s not.

I always am worried that chance threads don’t apply to URM students on CC.
Everyone seems to grant an automatic “you’re in!” instead of looking at the competition within the minority community.

I’m also sitting at a 33 ACT & Top 7% (out of 630 students) as an African American female. Scared out of my mind I won’t make Georgetown EA.

I hate to add additional concern but don’t underestimate the competition within your own race. I mean you’re competing with Millancad for Yale and I’m sure he/she has similar stats ;)
