URM, UnderRep State, Rank In Class, Important Points, questions for applicants,

URM: How does that play in colleges decisions ? So would a applicant that's not as qualified as the other candidate but is Hispanic, or Black would get accepted? Asian doesn't fit in the bracket for obvious reasons.

Rank: Top 15% and less right, If you GPA doesn't match you class rank will they consider it. Say you take a class over junior year summer, But ranks already is decided how would you explain that to them.

Under Rep State: Doesn't living in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico Help in the admission process, but according to US News Arizona rated 23 in education.

Recruiting for sports are important but at ivies, its academically based a coach couldn't wipe away a low SAT score, or could he. Does a coach have much weight on a sport like track.

Leadership- Do they want everyone to hold some type of leadership Role, President of student council, President of beta club, President of Stand, ETC.

Major- If you indicate a major on the app could that harm your admission chances? Say a girl wants to be a English major, but many girls want the same major.

Schools Rank: Will a high GPA for a non top rated school means as much from a US News best school in state or country.

Does being musical gifted help at Yale when theirs a lot of musically talented kids.

SCEA- Do they accept a big percentage SCEA? If you get deferred what can you do to get off or is it set in stone.

How did you find you Admission Hook?

Twins- Admission Hook

SCEA or RD- what did you pick a why?

Candidates Why Yale?

agates: many of your questions have been asked and answered multiple times on the yale forum and others. Do a little research rather than posting several posts of multiple questions. Certainly this is within the realm of an Ivy aspirant?

it looks like you’ve already answered most of your own questions there

I would say almost all of the “guesses” you make after you ask the question are accurate. The only ones I’m not sure about are the twins admission hook thing (I saw a ‘twins?’ option somewhere and wondered what that was about) and whether living in those states is an advantage.
