Is Notre Dame actively seeking minorities or are they fine with their "Upper-Class Whites" stereotype? With a middle 50% ACT range of 32-34 I fail to see how they can entice minorities with such scores to attend, since urms with such scores will likely be attending ivies or other top 10 schools

My daughter just started at Notre Dame. There were moving in weekend events, one of which was the multicultural student gathering. My daughter, my husband, and myself attended, and despite the very large hall it was held in, the place was packed. It seems to me that Notre Dame is actively seeking minority students, and that minority students want to attend Notre Dame. It is a fine school. There are other fantastic schools besides Ivies, and the Notre Dame experience is definitely a draw.

ND is attracting top students of many races and backgrounds. At First Year orientation this year we were told that this incoming class is the brightest, most talented, AND most diverse class ever. I believe this trend is not new.
The Ivies are not for everyone. Many of the best students today are choosing the unique combination of top academics and friendly community that is ND. These students graduate with extremely marketable degrees and alumni and career networking that is among the best anywhere.
Many top urm are considering and choosing ND
