<p>No thats not normal, you should call them tomorrow? It is either you haven’t agreed upon a lender, signed the MPN note, or failed to do the debt session/exam… just call to be certain… not sure to what department though.</p>

Yah I chose Discover back in July and Discover’s website shows my loans status is pending. And yes MPN note is done, so are the two debt exams (and I believe there’s one more loan exam that is required by UCLA?)</p>
<p>Oh i forgot to mention that I got the Perkins loan but no sub and unsub stafford loan showed in my BAR account. So…is that still abnormal <em>_</em>?</p>
<p>oh wait…I think I forgot to do the Salliemae’s MPN…I only did the one given by Discover. OMG…!!!</p>
<p>mh… my bar shows my outside scholarship and stafford loan fine, but it’s missing my perkins loan as well as my UCLA scholarship recognition award -_- gah gotta call now …</p>
<p>Oh I also realized that…if I’m not borrowing from SallieMae, I don’t have to sign an MPN with them right 
? If that’s the case, I think I’ve done my part already! Don’t know what exactly went wrong…</p>

<p>My BAR is cleared. It shows my recognition award and my Perkins loan disbursed, but my subsidized Stafford loan is not. I did contact Citibank, who is my lender, a week ago and I was told that they are still finishing the paperwork with UCLA. So, I think it is just a small delay and everything will be fine.</p>
<p>Holy moly…Somehow Discover disappeared from 2009-2010 UCLA’s Electronic Stafford Lenders. But my Stafford Lender is still Discover (831312)! </p>
<p>I also got in snail mail on Sep 8. says that I’ll be getting both stafford loans this year! AHHHHH this is so frustrating lol…</p>

<p>depending on what plan you got, the due date varies i think.
I chose the quarterly plan, and the next payment for me is due by oct the 1st.</p>

<p>my BAR account shows that everything has been disbursed except my recognition award too!!! am i still going to receive it as a refund?? it says the refund is only $975 on BAR though, and that’s only the refund from my grant and loans… it should be more like $5000 if my recognition award was disbursed. what’s going on?</p>
<p>Ah, I guess Ill just wait until Wendesday to check it to make sure everything is there all at once. I dont feel like freaking out my last week of summer vacation.</p>

I had tried to find that page for hours before I gave up lol. Yah, my plan is also paying quarterly so it’s $3,100 for Fall, Winter, and Spring. But an extra $2,977 showed on the summer expense! So maybe…just maybe the letter is showing me the expense going to be if I choose to stay on campus during summer? </p>
<p>Just to clear things up, everyone’s gotten a letter from housing services recently right? The one I’m talking about above which shows your 2009-2010 actual expense and financial aids.</p>
<p>Yah…I guess I’ll also wait til Wednesday to see if Discover really messed up my loans! Oh it seems that even the aids disbursements are on rolling basis!</p>
<p>My Cal and Pell grants were disbursed, but my loans weren’t. I got mine from Citi, and after checking their Student Loan site, I found this:</p>

<p>Looks like it should come out later today.</p>
<p>I just called and apparently they are having trouble with these awards and whatnot but it should be all sorted out within the next 2 days, from what she said.</p>

And since the actual cost this year is like 4 grands less than they originally thought (from 26k -> 22k), I’d be borrowing $2k more than I needed for school if I got the loan. (My total financial aid includes loan is $24k!)</p>
<p>I’m missing my loans. W.T.F.!!! I’m not a first time borrower, and I’m keeping the same bank as last year. What could have changed?</p>
