ursa fa complete/incomplete

Why are some people's FA summary say complete and others say incomplete?

because some people have not submitted their tax returns, their parents tax returns, or the ucla verification form… or did not put that they/or their parents have filed a tax return on their fafsa

All the UC’s do it. No big deal. Through a lottery they choose certain students to submit verification. UCD had me do it. I still was able to see my summary however, even though it is incomplete still.

or their additional financial information form…

How do I turn in that stuff? I mean they never even told me via email or anything that I should turn in my parents tax returns, mine, and the ucla verification.

What the hell is a ucla verification

And why do they need my tax return if I told them that I made $640 and did not file a tax return?

thats what i was wondering. how did people know that they had to turn in which forms to complete their financial aid??

People know which forms because they called UCLA’s financial aid service and asked. Just because one person with an incomplete FAFSA status had to verify a certain form doesn’t mean that you have to also send in that particular form. I’m sure there are a lot of things that come up for each individual applicant, and an “incomplete” doesn’t necessarily mean they’re verifying ALL your info. For me, it says “citizenship mismatch.” That doesn’t sound like a financial issue, so I’m not about to fax them all my parents’ tax forms, as they would think I was insane.

So is it better to send in the forms now, or wait until we get a concrete decision from admissions?

For me on URSA, it said my FA was incomplete because I hadn’t yet submitted my tax information on FAFSA, which is because I hadn’t filed my tax return at the time I submitted it. I submitted it as “Will File” instead of “Already Filed,” and estimated my income (which is practically nothing). Upon seeing that my FA was incomplete on URSA, I updated my FAFSA a couple days ago to show that I had filed. Last night, it changed from “incomplete” to “complete,” saying
"ESTIMATED TAX STATUS ON FAFSA Waived 4-24-2009 "
I think this either means that it was waived because I made practically nothing and my income won’t affect my FA awards, or they rejected me and decided they didn’t want to know! Nothing else changed, everything is exactly the same other than all the various pages on URSA concerning FA changing to “complete.”
Anyone have any insight into this? Did I just get booted?!?! haha

just wait till official decision to be out guys!
don’t rely too much on ursa!

it seems that right after i put up my post about being waived you put up yours but if yours is right… is that fafsa had selected to verify you… but that for some reason ucla decide not to verify you… so yeah… but i think it means your accept but thats just speculation

don’t rely too much on ursa? haha, are you new here??

well kinda… but it is just speculation…

did anyone notice that there is a guy named “■■■■■■■■■■■■■■” is posting here? HILARIOUS!

******bag. ;)

ITS NOT THAT we are sick… humor leads us to another world without thinking about ucla
