US Chem Olympiad Finalist

Last year I took the USNCO national test, and they gave me this paper that said I was a "U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad Finalist".
Is that just something they give everybody who takes the test? I only know one other person who took the test with me and he got a paper saying that too

ya .

then why would they use the term "finalist"? what a bunch of liars

<a href="http://www.chemistry.org/portal/a/c/s/1/acsdisplay.html?DOC=education%5Cstudent%5Colympiad.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.chemistry.org/portal/a/c/s/1/acsdisplay.html?DOC=education%5Cstudent%5Colympiad.html</a></p>

what level difficulty is the USNCO? Is it AP Chem level? I was thinkin of getting some advanced undergrad/grad books to study from.

it's AP chem level + organic chemistry. it's HARD.
